The Lincoln County Sheriff's Department is actively accepting applications for possible employment. The applications will be accepted from certified officers or certified by waiver  (Applications sent upon request or by clicking on link). APPLICATION

Entry level salary is based on years of service and Advanced Training Hours as accepted by the Department of Public Safety.

Non-probationary:  $ 16.4403 - $ 21.8102 per hour

Benefits included:
Twenty (20) retirement plan
Three (3) weeks vacation after two (2) years
Drive home units
Twelve (12) paid holidays and three (3) personal holidays of your choice
Paid on call time

The Lincoln County Sheriff's jurisdiction is 4,859 square miles, with a population of 19,411 (2000 census).  Lincoln county includes the communities of Carrizozo, Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Capitan, Lincoln, The Hondo Valley, White Oaks and Corona.
